The Hampton Redevelopment and Housing Authority (HRHA) will receive sealed bids for Purchase and Delivery of 246 Refrigerators at HRHA’s Construction Office located at 811 West Pembroke Avenue, Hampton VA until 1:00 pm (local prevailing time) on March 7, 2013 which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Proposed forms of contract documents, including specifications, may be obtained by contacting Construction Office at 811 West Pembroke Avenue, Hampton, Virginia, or by contacting Karen Taylor via email ktaylor@hrha.org or by calling (757)727-1521 Ext. 309. Bonding will not be required for this bid.

HRHA reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. The public body may negotiate with the apparent lowest responsible bidder if all bids exceed available funds. The Authority will undertake negotiations under the conditions and procedures described in the Public and Indian Housing Programs, Instructions to Bidders for Contracts HUD 5369-C and its own written and approved Procurement Policy.

No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the HRHA. Bidders making errors may request withdrawal of their bid by giving written notice, including original work papers, within two (2) business days after the bid opening. Attention is called to the provisions of the Instructions to Bidders concerning the withdrawal of bids. This project is funded by the Federal Government and governed by contracting regulations of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
